If you're unable to find the items you want to sell on our Buy List, please feel free to email info@thesidedeck.com and make us aware of the situation. Even if it isn't on the site, we will still buy. We will respond to your question within one business day.

BuyList Rules:

• Failure to follow any our instructions may result in a penalty which will be withheld from the amount for your BuyOrder.

• Payment options include PayPal, Check, or Store Credit. Please note that if you select payment via PayPal, some fees will apply. For more information, please click here

• Please do not send damaged or played cards. If we determine a card you sent is in a worse condition than what we approved, the price will be reduced accordingly, and if you want the card back, you must inform us immediately upon receiving the Grading Confirmation Email. We will ship it back and reduce the cost of shipping from the total payment for the order. We will not be held responsible for cards we dispose of due to conditions when a lack of communication occurs.

BuyList Instructions:

• Please do not send any Yu-Gi-Oh! cards that have the letters "A,E,OR AE" next to the set number or any cards that have the Asian logo on the back of the card. 

• Please sort cards to match how they appear on the confirmation email. If your cards arrive out of order, please expect an additional delay of up to five business days before completion of your buylist.
  ***Please note - in the case of larger BuyOrders that arrive out of order, we reserve the right to return the entire order at the owner's expense or retain up to 20% of the final value of the BuyOrder for the labor involved. We will contact you before processing your buylist if we intend to return it or assess a penalty.

The safest way to ship cards is to put them inside a deck box and then into a shipping box or padded envelope.

Please DO NOT send cards packaged in any of the following:

Card Sleeves (You can sleeve cards with an individual value of $20 and up)
Top Loaders (Hard Plastic) (You can use top loaders for cards over $100.00)
9 Pocket Pages 
Card Albums

The labor fees incurred by having to remove cards from sleeves are severe and will DRASTICALLY REDUCE your final payment total. 

All orders must arrive within 7 days of your buy list approval date. Please email us for an extension on this as the process is automated

If selecting store credit as payment, we give 20% more for all non-bulk items. Store Credit can currently be used site-wide. Also, store credit does not expire.

If you notice a Buy Price out of the ordinary, please go forward with submittal and we'll address it in the approval/denial process. If you think a card should be noticeably higher, please email and we'll work something out.

There is no Minimum Buy Order amount

How do I sell cards to TheSideDeck? (Please Read)

1. You can quickly and easily find the cards you wish to sell by either using our
search bar or by browsing the Products and Cards section to the left of the screen.
Once you've located a card you are interested in selling to us, just add it to your
Sell Cart. Please be aware that you must be in "Selling Mode" to sell cards to us.

2. To Edit your Cart or Checkout, simply click the "View Buylist/Submit" link in the
Cart Summary section.

3. Follow the system prompts to complete your sell order.

4. Wait for the approval email to arrive. After you submit your buylist, we have
to double-check that we want to buy everything at the posted prices. Usually this
takes less than one business day, but please double check this email when it arrives
because sometimes we do make changes.

5. Remember to package your cards securely and in the order that they appear on
your receipt. We don't want your cards to be damaged during shipment and neither
should you, so please take the time to make sure your cards are well packed and
protected.

6. Include a copy of your receipt in your package.

7. While we understand that sometimes there are delays in sending cards to us, we
do ask that all buylist submissions sent to us must be postmarked within 5 business days
of their acceptance. After that time, any prices we've offered are subject to change.

9. We strongly recommend that you take precautions (Tracking, Delivery Confirmation, Insurance) for your
package. Occasionally things get lost in the mail and we are not responsible for them.

10. We will send an email to you when your package arrives at our facility. Within two business days
you will then receive an email confirming receipt of all your cards and the conditions that they were
received in. Any cards we receive that we consider slightly played will be reduced anywhere from 25-50%.

If you are uncomfortable receiving a reduced price for Slightly Played
cards, please closely inspect the cards you are sending to us beforehand and include a note
or send an email to us stating that you would prefer us to send any non-NM/Mint cards back to you at
your expense.

11. We process Buy Orders seven days a week, so we should be able to process your order within one day of receiving it. We pride ourselves on prompt processing and payment of every Buy Order.

12. If you want to change your buylist submission for any reason before sending it to us, for instance to
remove a card from the list, please contact us or make a note on the invoice.

13. If changes need to be made please email us prior to mailing your Buy Order. Once shiped, changes can no longer be made.

We retain the right to cancel/return any Buy Order.

Guidelines For Selling Bulk

1. All Bulk Buy Orders will be counted using bulk counting methods (measurements) unless you organize the cards in dividers of 100. All cards in Bulk Orders need to be separated into rarirty/category. Unsorted cards will be priced at the least expensive rarirty mixed with them.

2. All Bulk prices are for Near-Mint English Cards.

The Side Deck card conditions are a great point of reference for both Buyers and Sellers. By providing clear examples of what a card should look like at each condition, we make sure everyone knows what to expect when buying and selling cards on TheSideDeck.com.

The challenge is that there are no hard and fast rules regarding the amount of marks a card can have or how severe those marks can get—every card is unique. By introducing guidelines, we aim to identify the best methods for evaluating card condition.

A consistent experience for our Customers Any stamp, inking or signature on a card is considered an alteration, and since each alteration is unique, they cannot fit within our standardized grading. Cards marked in this way should only be considered Damaged. Also, if you have a card that has sharpie or paint on it in order to cover damage to the card, it should be added as 'Damaged' as the condition.

Common things to look out for:

The card is not a different version than what is expected. The card must be the specific edition.

Common defects are typically okay, like when many copies of a particular card feature a uniform defect. However, most cards with print errors, ink inconsistencies and miscuts can only be sold in person

Not all cards pulled from a pack are Near Mint. Cards can be opened that have markings or damage, inking inconsistency or factory defects.

OUR CARD CONDITION GUIDELINES

The Side Deck has adopted the Card Condition Guidelines from TCGPlayer.com -- which has collected feedback from players, and we've used their input to develop guidelines that address their most common concerns about card conditions.

Near Mint Cards in Near Mint (NM) condition show minimal to no wear from shuffling, play or handling and can have a nearly unmarked surface, crisp corners and unblemished edges outside of a few minimal flaws. A Near Mint card may have a tiny edge nick or a tiny scratch or two, but overall look nearly unplayed with no major defects or flaws.

The acceptable range of cards within the Near Mint condition include both cards with no imperfections and cards with a few minor imperfections.

NEAR MINT FOIL On foil cards, wear and blemishes are more easily noticed. As a result, grading Near Mint Foils (NMFs) is fairly simple: They canʼt have any scratches, clouding, print defects or visible damage or marks. Near Mint Foils are nearly pristine cards because itʼs the most scrutinized card condition.

Lightly Played Cards in Lightly Played (LP) condition may have minor border or corner wear or even just slight scuffs or scratches. There are no major defects such as liquid damage, bends or issues with the structural integrity of the card. Noticeable imperfections are okay, but none should be too severe or at too high a volume.

The acceptable range of cards within the Lightly Played condition include both cards with a handful of minor imperfections and those with a few more noticeable imperfections.

LIGHTLY PLAYED FOIL Lightly Played Foils (LPFs) show minimal wear and very few surface flaws. Any flaws such as scratches are very slight, and no major imperfections or flaws should exist. Scratches in the art box tend to be more noticeable and factor more heavily than other flaws. Foils in Lightly Played condition may also have slight fading or signs of wear or slight warping.

Moderately Played Cards in Moderately Played (MP) condition can have border wear, corner wear, scratching or scuffing, creases or whitening or any combination of mild examples of these marks.

A Moderately Played card may have some form of a more major marking, such as creasing that doesnʼt affect card integrity, but not in combination with other issues such as scratches, scuffs or border/edge wear and not impacting a large area of the card.

MODERATELY PLAYED FOIL Warping, clouding, scratching and a little flaking are all fine on Moderately Played Foils (MPFs). They are also allowed to have minor border wear. As long as there are no major defects, these minor flaws are okay on MPFs.

Heavily Played Cards in Heavily Played (HP) condition show a severe amount of wear. Cards with less than 30% of the surface being liquid damaged are typically accepted but may be considered Damaged if especially detrimental. HP cards can have one small instance of missing ink (such as if something is stuck to a card, then removed and pulls away part of the card), along with major creasing, whitening and border wear if the card can still be sleeve playable.

Damaged Cards in Damaged condition can exhibit a tear, bend or crease that may make the card illegal for tournament play, even in a sleeve. If more than 30% of the card is damaged by liquid, it's considered Damaged. Cards in Damaged condition may have extreme border wear, extreme corner wear, heavy scratching or scuffing, folds, creases or tears or other damages that impacts the structural integrity of the card. (Note: No one likes to receive a card that is covered in a foreign substance, such as food, liquid or other material. Cards like these are not accepted through TheSideDeck.com.)

 

Heavily Played and Damaged Foils Heavily Played Foils (HPFs) and Damaged Foils follow the same rules as their non-foil counterparts.
